The Kaiwa Podcast began as a small passion project led by three students at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) in Japan. Studying at a school with a student body from Africa to Asia, they aimed to create a space for students to have conversations - to share their stories and inspire one another. It was only an idea back in mid 2020, and came to fruition in October 2020, when they named it The Kaiwa Podcast, with "kaiwa" representing the Japanese word for "conversations." Since then, the podcast has released episodes about topics ranging from women's liberation to entrepreneurship and personal branding. Today, The Kaiwa Podcast is run by a team of over nine passionate, vocal young students at APU.

The Kaiwa Podcastは、日本の立命館アジア太平洋大学（APU）の3人の学生が率いる小さなプロジェクトとして始まりました。アフリカからアジアまでの学校で勉強してきた3人は、生徒たちが会話をし、ストーリーを共有して互いに刺激を与えるためのスペースを作ることを目指しました。それは2020年半ばにアイデアとして生まれ、2020年10月に「会話」を意味する「kaiwa」で「The Kaiwa Podcast」と名付けられて実現しました。それ以来、Podcastはさまざまなトピックに関するエピソードをリリースしています。ファシリテーターや昆虫食、就活まで、トピックは豊富にあります。現在、The Kaiwa Podcastはインド、日本、リベリア、ネパール、韓国からの情熱に溢れる若いAPU学生のチームによって運営されています。
